Use SUMIFS and COUNTIFS with two date conditions to total or count a date range.

The problem

Total (or count) everything that falls between two dates.

Sample data

Due dates in C2:C5 and amounts in D2:D5 (100, 200, 300, 400). Three of the rows fall between 1 and 15 October 2026.

Formula

=SUMIFS(D2:D5,C2:C5,">="&DATE(2026,10,1),C2:C5,"<="&DATE(2026,10,15))

Result: 600.

For the count, use COUNTIFS with the same conditions and no sum range: result 3.
