Percent complete from a status column
Count Done tasks and divide by all tasks, then label the project Done, In progress or Not started.
The problem
You have a Status column and want a percent complete.
Sample data
D2:D5 = Done, Doing, Todo, Done.
Formula
=COUNTIF(D2:D5,""&"Done")/COUNTA(D2:D5)
Result: 0.5. Format the cell as a percent to show 50%.
Label from the percent in E2: =IF(E2=1,"Done",IF(E2>0,"In progress","Not started")) gives In progress in the sample.
