Two cells that turn a net price and a rate into VAT and a gross total.

The problem

You have a net price and a VAT rate and need the VAT and the total.

Sample data

Net in B2 = 100, rate in C2 = 0.2.

Formulas

VAT:   =ROUND(B2*C2,2)   -> 20
Total: =B2+D2            -> 120

Round the VAT only, so the cents add up. This is simple arithmetic shown as an illustration; check your own country's rate and rules.
